Gold Standard Detox
FAQs
What is ‘Gold Standard Detox’ certification?
Gold Standard Detox certification verifies that your product or program does exactly what it claims, namely to detox pesticides (including glyphosate) from the human body. The Detox Project has created 2 separate certifications that are both under the Gold Standard Detox certification umbrella.
What we certify:
- Detox Products – products that claim to reduce the levels of pesticides in the body
- Detox Programs – programs (e.g. diet programs) that claim to reduce the levels of pesticides in the body
If a product is certified under our 2 detox certifications it also means that the product does not contain residues of the pesticides listed under the specific certification’s Standard. This is proven through testing at a third-party laboratory using gold standard testing methods during the certification process and at least 3 times a year.
What is ‘Gold Standard Glyphosate Detox’ certification?
In order for a detox product or detox program to be certified Gold Standard Glyphosate Detox, the detox product or program must reduce the levels of glyphosate and AMPA (the main metabolite of glyphosate) in the body by a statistically significant 30% or more during Gold Standard third-party clinical trials using hair testing. Please review the Gold Standard Glyphosate Detox Standard to see more details on Gold Standard third-party clinical trials.
What is ‘Gold Standard Pesticide Detox’ certification?
In order for a detox product or detox program to be certified Gold Standard Pesticide Detox, the detox product or program must reduce the levels of a selection of the most ubiquitous agricultural pesticides in the body by a statistically significant 30% or more, during Gold Standard third-party clinical trials. The ubiquitous pesticides covered under this certification are as follows: Agricultural Pesticides: 2,4-D, Acephate, Acetochlor, Alachlor, Atrazine, Azoxystrobin, Boscalid, Chlorpyrifos-methyl, Chlorpyrifos-ethyl, Cypermethrin, Cyprodinil, Dicamba, Diflufenican, Dimethomorph, Diuron, Epoxiconazole, Iprovalicarb, Isoxaben, Malathion, Metalaxyl, Metolachlor, Pendimethalin, Permethrin, Propiconazole, Piperonyl butoxide, Pyraclostrobin, Pyrimethanil, Simazine, Spiroxamine, Tebuconazole, Trifloxystrobin, Trifluralin and Glyphosate, Glufosinate, AMPA. Please review the Gold Standard Pesticide Detox Standard to see more details on Gold Standard third-party clinical trials.

Some of these attacks can be seen here: The Guardian: You can’t detox your body. It’s a myth. So how do you get healthy? MEL Magazine: Yes, Of Course, Detoxing Is a Scam Examine: Detoxes: an undefined scam The Detox Project has launched Gold Standard Detox certification to regulate the Detox market and to help Detox brands to gain more trust amongst consumers and in the media.
